Hi guys,
Due to many people is asking us (ACK - Associació Catalana Kitesurf, http://www.ack.cat) about the available spots near Barcelona, please find below some information about them.

Like you know, in Catalonia the best time to kite is in summer with the SO winds called 'Garbí', but in winter there are not so much good spots near Barcelona, only going South (Riumar) or North (Sant Pere Pescador) of Catalonia you can find good places to enjoy and have fun, both running with NW winds.

From North to South you have the following Catalan Spots:

ST PERE PESCADOR (girona) works fine with N, NE, Y S
PALAMOS (girona) works fine with E y SW
MALGRAT (BARCELONA) (MARESME) works fine with E y SW
CABRERA (BARCELONA) (MARESME) works fine with E y SW
MONTGAT (BARCELONA) (MARESME) works fine with NE, E y SW
BARCELONA City (MARESME) works fine with E y SW
LA MURTRA (VILADECANS-BARCELONA) works fine with NE, E, S, SW Y W
CASTELLDEFELS (BARCELONA) works fine with E, SE, S, SW, Y W
VILANOVA (BARCELONA) works fine with NE, E, SE Y SW
ST. SALVADOR (TARRAGONA) works fine with E, SE, S, Y SW
COMARRUGA (TARRAGONA) works fine with E, SE, S, Y SW
RIUMAR (DELTA DEL EBRO) works fine with NW, N, NE Y E
TRABUCADOR (DELTA DEL EBRO) works fine with all the winds

Please be aware that kitesurfing is not allowed in all Catalonia during all the summer period with the exception of few beaches, by now...
